Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Cell

           IPR club was established in 21-03-2012 in Govt PG College Uttarkashi. Principal is the president of the club. The college recognizes the importance of generation intellectual property by its teachers and students. The college is committed to do all that is within its power and obligations to encourage the creativity and innovation of its people. The cell provides support and guidance to the all college students BA, B Sc, B COM M.A, M Sc, M.COM, B.Ed. and staff in protecting their invention and creation . The cell is also committed to the common people of our society .It supports common people, who approach the cell, to shape their innovation ideas and guide them to obtain IP rights. Time to time lectures deliver to the different classes. Moreover seminar and workshops etc are also conducted in the college to enlighten the faculty members, students and other audiences. The activity of this IPR cell in college is in alignment with the objectives.

The Major objectives of the IPR cell are:

• To promote constant awareness about the IPR

• To engage conduct workshop/seminar.

• To advice and guide students and faculty on the importance of IPR.

• To participate in/arrange periodic meeting of faculty members

• To encourage faculty members to carry out patents.

• To support common people to obtain protection for their invention/innovation ideas.
